According to the SFSU Urban Institute, an estimated 11,233 children five years of age and under have moved out of the city of San Francisco from 1995 and 2000.
This information raises many questions that were discussed at this forum:
• How will the declining overall child population affect your child?
• How might the City change its services for health, education, and housing?
• What does this mean for the Asian community in San Francisco?
Sponsors: DCYF, Wu Yee Children's Services, Chinatown Beacon Center, and Gordon J. Lau School
Participating Agencies: Asian Perinatal Advocates, Asian Women's Resource Center, Cameron House, Community Educational Services, Chinatown Community Children's Center, Community Youth Center, Kai Ming Head Start, MOCD, NICOS, and Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center
